MEET DR. VANESSA MANLOVE
A Fargo native, Dr. Vanessa Manlove is the optometrist and owner at Enlightened Eyecare. After graduating from Fargo South High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Concordia College, then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is an active member of both the North Dakota Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Vanessa has known since she was eleven years old that she wanted to become an optometrist. As a child who struggled with reading, she experienced firsthand how vision therapy can make a life-changing difference—and that experience continues to inspire her work today. She provides personalized care for patients of all ages, with a special interest in pediatric eye care. Her approach centers on compassion, education, and helping each patient understand their vision and eye health.
Dr. Vanessa is committed to giving back to her community. She was selected as a participant in the 2025 United Way’s 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program and volunteers locally whenever she can. In her free time, she enjoys curling, sewing, and quilting, and she’s an enthusiastic supporter of NDSU athletics, holding season tickets for Bison football as well as men’s and women’s basketball.
