Yes — we provide eye care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Our exams are tailored to each age group and their specific visual needs to ensure the best care at every stage of life.

A comprehensive eye exam evaluates both your vision and the overall health of your eyes. During your visit, Dr. Vanessa will review your medical and ocular history, including current medications, check your glasses prescription, and update your contact lens prescription if you wear them. She will also perform a full assessment of your eye health. The exam is comfortable, noninvasive, and typically takes 30–45 minutes. Our goal is to answer your questions, address any concerns, and give you a clear understanding of your eye health.

The American Optometric Association recommends a comprehensive eye exam every 1–2 years for adults with no known vision or health concerns. If you have risk factors like diabetes, a family history of eye disease, or notice changes in your vision, exams should be scheduled yearly or as advised by your eye care provider.

The American Optometric Association recommends a child’s first eye exam at 6–12 months old (InfantSEE), a second exam around ages 3–4, and then annual exams once they begin school around ages 5–6. If any concerns arise, earlier evaluation is encouraged. Early exams help detect issues such as eye turns, focusing problems, or refractive errors before they impact learning and development.

InfantSEE is a public health program created by the American Optometric Association that offers a no-cost comprehensive eye assessment for babies 6–12 months old through participating providers. Dr. Vanessa is an InfantSEE provider. The purpose of the program is to catch early signs of eye or vision problems in a child’s first year, even if no symptoms are noticeable.
